How to do a French Braid

Before you Begin
This braid works very much like the reverse french braid, except the braid is tucked into the hair.
Make sure hair is clean, free of tangles, and long enough to stay in the braid. If the hair is too short or too layered it will fall out of the braid.

Step By Step
The french braid lays across the centerline of the scalp, and can begin anywhere from as far back as the crown, to as far forward as an inch behind the forehead. Begin as high or as low as you like. Take a section of hair in a pony tail shape from the temples to your starting point, and hold it in a loose fist. Create three equal sections by running your two fingers of the other hand from the base of the ponytail to the end, sliding both hands down the ponytail together.
Hold the center and right sections in your right hand, and the left section in your left hand. You will alternate between having two sections in your right hand and left as you braid.
Wrap the right section over the center section and hold with your left hand. Now the original right section is the new center section, and the original center section is the new right section.
Then wrap the left section over the new center section. Now the original left section is the new center section, and the old center section is the new left section. This braid alternates between wrapping right, then left, then right again.
Wrap the right section over the center section. Pull in a section of hair from the right side from the front towards the braid. Add it to the section you've just wrapped over and smooth the hair together.
Wrap the left section over the center section. Pull in a section of hair from the left side from the front towards the braid. Add it to the section you've just wrapped over and smooth the hair together.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you reach the nape of the neck. Continue to braid over, alternating right and left until you reach the end of the hair.
Secure the braid with a hair band, or tuck it under into the nape and bobby-pin it into place.

Step By Step
Your model needs a shave. And a haircut.
